I hate how with modern computers I can turn them on and not know if it’s working for several moments. Where’s the HD spinning up or the floppy drives growling? Not even fans spinning in some modern machines. Just silence until there’s a frame buffer

I love customizing the icons on my macs, from my 68k relics to my M1. I *wish* I could do the same on Linux in Nautilus or Dolphin or Thunar, but so far I cannot set an icon for an individual folder, only alter *all* folders.

Maybe I’m missing something
