Look, if you like Monster Hunter and want more games like it, just look for them or ask. Plenty of us can point you in a direction. I needed to vent about how terrible that statement was and I feel better now, but still, there's a game for everyone, especially if you're not bothered by language barriers. There's even Ultraman themed ones! They're called Kaijuu Busters and Kaijuu Busters Powered and were released on DS!

Look, I know Penny Arcade sucks, I know they aren't always on top of things... but they also run one of the biggest conventions in the world and absolutely have access to these games if they so chose to look into it. This just feels intellectually lazy to say that. It's not even hard to find "Monster Hunter clones", though I've taken to the term Hunting RPG and am seeing it spread more online as well. (I'm not claiming to be the first, just that I'm one of the proponents.)

I've spent almost TWO YEARS beating almost every western released game in the sub-genre created by Monster Hunter. I'm doing the final releases of each title, eg Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or God Eater Resurrection! Can you imagine how much longer it would take if I did EVERY release?! My exhaustive list is at 50 RELEASES!
