The more I work for UK gov the less I wish to do so.

The kernel of GDS that was once a noble effort and the seed of what might be, is a smoking degraded hull now. The same old incompetence and inefficiency and circle-jerks is back again. If people only knew how their taxes were squandered.

It seems that no matter the scale humans find it *incredibly* hard to conceptualise incremental change. Distant, unlikely, ideal states? Easy peasy. Adjacent futures changing just the one thing just enough? Difficult difficult lemon difficult. So we remain trapped by the easy that will never manifest.

We need better tools for articulating the nature of change and pulling time apart. #IdealPresent and #StorySlicing and #VorosFutures and #OperationalArt have pieces of this, but not quite enough.
