I normally can’t work while listening to music as my brain immediately focuses on the music. But today, instead of working in silence, I opted for some gentle classical piano music. And up popped Bach’s Goldberg Variations, my old beloved friend. What a wonderful work soundtrack. However, it also unearthed some buried memories I wasn’t expecting. The music wasn’t distracting this time, it was the memories.

I now live in a rural community but apparently there’s a group doing drop-in rollerskating lessons this evening at a neighbouring town church hall and I so I unpacked these skates, the first time in almost 7 years.
