Lately, I’ve just been putting The Crystal Method’s whole discography on shuffle. Works a treat, but some other options would be nice.

I got talking with friends about NaNoWriMo alternatives, and recalled an old photography project of mine from 2009/2010 called NaPhoBoMo (photo book). It got some national press, but I didn’t keep it going.

The idea was, instead of writing a 50,000 word novel, make a 50-photo/spread photo book (a picture is worth 1000 words) in a month. Principal photography, editing, layout, etc, all in one month. It was fun, and I kind of miss my photography hobby/side gig.

I think I picked up that terminology habit from the ms-selfie newsletter - a good resource if #PwMS haven’t heard of it. With the caveat that the author is a UK neurologist, so not always applicable: https://open.substack.com/pub/gavingiovannoni

It’s indie #ttrpg #BookClub day today! Getting excited for this month’s game. We did the pre-game meta discussion for Soth (by Steve Hickey) last week, we play tonight, and post-game debrief next week.

The story prep started already, and it’s shaping up to be an interesting story that is bootlegger adjacent in the roaring 20’s with some urban/rural tensions facilitating the end of days the cult will attempt to bring about. We shall see.

I’ve been on here since 2019 - I just didn’t do anything with it besides pitch a flag on my username… and post a proof for the erstwhile encryption and social identity validation company Keybase (which got bought out by Zoom because Zoom got publicly lambasted for their security flaws, and Keybase got subsequently abandoned).

That was cool software that nobody used too.

Maybe Keybase will come around too. 🤞🤞

I'm a professional AAA #gamedeveloper (#videogames) and indie dev (#ttrpg/ #storygames) I spend a lot of my time playing #guildwars2 (fun, not work), #cooking, #reading, consuming #coffee and #coffeeroasting. I used to do a lot of #cycling and #rockclimbing, but those have slowed lately for Reasons™️
