I mainly care in the personal page with the entire curriculum vitae and such, not the social side. I only use LinkedIn as a public CV nowadays, visiting the site only if there's anything to update. But it'll be nice to move that away too.

If not I might considering moving it to a personal website since I just made one, but that wasn't really planned.

It's so sad when people push their own opinions as objective facts based on criteria (which aren't followed) and tell everyone with critique to fuck off. Even more sad when it's supposed to be a positive "European alternative" subject making use of the current boom in interest in that to grow big and lure people in who are relatively new to it, leaving them with a biased view that's on one side incomplete (missing good alternatives) and on the other hand having very questionable ones in it.

My partner always tells me he wants to speak Cantonese to our future kid because he's sad the language is dying. I agreed, but said I will speak Drents in turn.

So I guess our future kid will learn #Cantonese and #Drents at home, and #Dutch outside. We'll see how that goes. We know many others who do this with 2 #languages which works well, kids learn languages easy. So we have good hopes for 3.

Pfff, first need to get a house anyways. Hopefully soon. Busy looking to buy. After that, kids...

On one side, adding clear terms that need to be accepted on first use is good, and an improvement over the old model of "it's written somewhere, we do it and hope you looked it up".

On the other hand, removing your promise to care about #privacy is not good at all and remind me of a certain company's "do no evil". That git commit is a scary step from them.

Sure you might need to write some compilers, make kernel edits, and who knows what else. But the thing is, you can. And that's beautiful. And it's not as crazy as it sounds. Because this is exactly why so many Windows games run on Linux nowadays.
