Day 5 in California. Conference is over, taking fam to Carmel for breakfast & Santa Cruz for Lunch, then exchanging rental cars in SJC before a trip up to Auburn for a memorial/celebration of life event tomorrow. Expensive dinner at Sandbar restaurant in Monterey on fisherman’s wharf, but worth it.

Day three in Monterey California, and I am ready to leave this conference. Its nice, but chilly here. And I’m mentally & physically...

Day three in Monterey California, and I am ready to leave this conference. Its nice, but chilly here. And I’m mentally & physically tired & this isn’t a (work) trip that I’m enjoying (at a technical conference.) Family gets in later tonight, and will I go pick them up at the SJC airport and bring them back here. Probably seek out some dinner up that way. Food here is ok, but pricey. Hopefully dinner & them being here will improve how I feel.

- Last week, a return flight from SFO to IAD took over 2 days to complete due to management issues (thanks #UnitedAirlines & flight UA2667),
- daughter went through 8 hours oral surgery (was to be 5,) only to be back in the ER next day because they released her too soon
- AND I just popped positive for COVID (which I caught on that United flight, even though I wore a mask - because the sickos didn’t!)
