My amazing wife makes me an advent calendar every year. It's a muffin tin with cardboard design "doors", filled with chocolate and lovely wee sayings. The design means the whole thing can be reused year and year and she’s done this for years now.

This morning, being 1st of December, was my first opening of this year. See photos.

Simple wee thing, but I love it.

Travelling to Edinburgh today. Not a massive fan of travel, but I'm going by train and that makes it much more bearable. Also going 1st class - not because I want to, but for some reason, the 1st class ticket (£33'ish) was cheaper than the standard class ticket (£50'ish) for the same journey!

What's your feeling on weekly team meetings for a small team of 10? 10 minutes MAX for each person to deliver their "bit", and anything that requires more time should be a separate meeting?

I patiently listen, but am bothered for those of us who just wanna deliver our piece, let others do theirs and get on with our work.

It's clear that video meetings hide a multitude of fidgeting, shuffling and distraction, which would otherwise be obvious face-to-face.

Just thinking, as I take my daily supplements, how grateful I am for Turmeric.

I take a couple of capsules daily and no longer suffer any joint pain.

I used to curtail the arthritis in my hands by rubbing fresh nettles on the joints, as the stings provide relief for that pain for anything up to 3 months (beyond the sting irritation of a day or two). However, Turmeric deals with it all. I get mine from Ethical Nutrition and their supplements are great.
