Hey, regarding image identification text-- does it *need* to be in alt text (which surprisingly not everyone can see on every platform) or can it be in the body of the post itself, so that desc and discussion are in the same place? I don't know if there's a specific reason for doing it this way, and don't wanna break anything, but it seems less than ideal to say 'image desc is in alt text' when the alt text is not accessible on the official mastodon app (for example). #accessibilty #alttext

I'm looking for anything on British Vulgar Latin, anything at all. I mean, what on earth were the bulk of people speaking in post-Roman Britain before English? It sure wasn't pre-Roman Pritannic/Brythonic/etc, not with Rome sticking around for the better part of 400 years. There are a bunch of Latinisms in Old Welsh and Cornish, and there are absolutely Celtic elements to British Latin inscriptions-- but have any studies been done? #lingualatina #brythonic #celtic #welsh #cornish #insularlatin
