3) Complete Communities projects seem to be accelerating. That's just a vague sense I get from looking at the last three years of permits going into the system. It's such a potent program, and I'd been underwhelmed by the projects I'd heard of so far, but things seem to be moving. These two are just a few days old, along the section of 30th between University and Upas.

2) There's an interesting mix of ADU projects, including SFH garage conversions which didn't strike me as new. What did strike me as new was a group of micro-ADUs that are replacing garages in older apartments, in some cases one ADU for 2 garages, in some cases 1:1. I saw a few of these, from 4-7 units. If these things don't rent for cheap, I don't know what will.

Ever since learning about the SD Accella site (thanks Conor), I've been messing around with it to look at my part of North Park. Some things I've noticed, generally.

1) The 4 floors of 6 units per floor typology that had become somewhat common for single-lot infill projects seems to have been usurped by 6 or 7 floors of 7 units. I saw three projects with 49 units, another 47, and another with 42. Really maximizing that 6.5 FAR, for better or worse.

Mixed emotions about seeing the Second Chance parklet coming down. Had some nice times there. It was often pretty full of people, many with dogs, just chilling and enjoying the space. On the other hand, on two occasions I can remember, I had nervous moments taking the bypass for bikes, with cars zooming close by (the drivers weren't being aggressive, it's just less safe in that small lane). At least they still have their nice sidewalk cafe.
