I’ll be playing “Docca”, a geriatric goblin artificer who rides around on the back of a bulldog named “Nurzz” and uses small contraptions, infused with fungus magic, to boost his party members or defend from a distance. They cuss a lot and complains about everything just like your grandpa would about 4 years after being put into a nursing home.

Exiting from the roots of the old Sycamore tree, the party set up camp as the prepared to face down Tartuccio, disguised as a purple kobold named Tartuk. Over a small campfire on the open expanses north of Tuskwater, the group discussed their plans for their kingdom, weighing the merits of various forms of government and leadership mindsets. It seemed no one decision was made, but various ideas were presented and the party made their feelings known before settling in for the night. Happs reminded the group that the Stag Lord was a terrible figure looming before them, a barrier to the next part of their journey.
Led by Mikmek, the group made their way to the foothills to the southeast and came across the abandoned silver mine that was the Sootscale den. At the entrance, they were greeted by another kobold named Nakpik, a guard protecting both the entrance to the den and a human prisoner named Richard. The alchemist had been sent by the Lady Jamandi Aldori to aid Tartuccio in the narlmarches, but the gnome claimed that they needed no help and sent Richard to deal with the kobolds. Upon his arrival, he was quickly ambushed by their overwhelming numbers and captured. The party decried Tartuk, hoping to sway Nakpik, hoping their intel from Mor was correct. The blue kobold quickly freed the prisoner and bore the group across the trapped entrance to the throne room within, before the chief Sootscale.
Far more well spoken than their kin, Sootscale thanked the party for dealing with the gremlins and returning the statue. They demanded the effigy of their deity Sharptooth. Taking it into claw, Sootscale grimaced for a moment in deep contemplation before shattering it upon the dirt and rocky floor of the den. He declared the curse broken and big the party bring the false shaman to pay for his transgressions.
In Sootscale’s former residence, the group found Tartuk writing while his followers practiced magic and kept guard. The group of heroes cornered Tartuk, informing him his time had run out. Tartuk ordered his followers to attack, hissing through his sharp teeth. The kobolds were no match for the fearsome group, but due to a few missed strikes between Lumen and Zachariah, Tartuk was able to turn himself invisible and slip out the exit of the mine, disappearing into the Stolen Lands. While Chief Sootscale was disappointed, the coal colored kobold was happy to be rid of the shaman’s influence before more of his people paid the price. He big the allegiance of his people to the forthcoming kingdom and bid them keep whatever the find in Tartuk’s horde, which included the long sought after ring of Svetlana.
The group stopped off at Fort Serenko, ensuring their friends were all safe, before heading back to Oleg’s Outpost to restock. Along the way, they encountered an undead figure named Davik who had been killed by the Stag Lord. It bid the party bring him the head of the Stag Lord, which they agreed to do. With that, they returned to Oleg’s Outpost, ready to stock up before finally facing the threat that had loomed over them for months...
