I wanted to promote a great journal for science for kids.
Frontier for Young Minds aims to engage school pupils in the science review activity. Practicing scientists/experts can write (or re-write) their latest research, accessible for kids. This is then reviewed by school children to check you’ve mastered it!
See our Climate Collection here – based around latest IPCC FAQs

Likewise we can’t just buy our way out of responsibility by compensating for damage. Again – necessary but not sufficient. We really must stop making the damage worse
It all feels toothless without action on emissions – a bit like agreeing accident damages with a victim while you’re still hitting them on the head with a hammer. “Don’t worry we’ll use a smaller hammer”

The mitigation side was a disaster, but loss and damage is a big step forward. Not my expertise, but this is maybe worth more than I thought? It’s definitely a conceptual leap – but only time will tell how seriously the pledges to it are kept

It’s why we do the job – we want a world our kids can inherit without them resenting what we did to it
Huge thanks to the school for all the support. Mrs Whalley is a fab head 😊 who enables so much positive action in the school. Great support from Fiona, Alison and many others too.

These stripes use local climate data – specific to Exminster. Our stripes are a unique fingerprint!

Particularly the magnitude and duration are really important considerations. It’s not just o/s or not. Higher and longer overshoot increase challenges in both impacts and recovery

AR6 WGIII also consider higher categories – e.g. C3/4 vs C2 class. It is always beneficial to come down again if you do exceed a level
