So I promised myself I wouldn't complain about #twitter on here, buuuut

#cisisnotaslur for starters. Because I follow a whole bunch of other queer tweeters, my timeline has devolved into constant defence against the rampant bigotry on the rest of the site.

Also, usable website meme. Prioritising blue ticks means that the most inane, worthless garbage is pushed the the top of every single hit tweet on the website, and I have to scroll and block for way too long to reach the actual (non blue tick) discourse.

On character customisation, check the entered pronouns against your dictionary and set a flag for which grammar style will be used. Then write every line of dialogue twice lmao. It took me about 20 minutes to insert the right code, and 3 hours to figure out how to build because I've only ever used c# for unity

I feel accomplished

I was bored, so I decided to write my first meaningful shell script.
The goal was to have a script that quickly set up a git repo with gitignore and gitattributes in a Unity project.
It actually works, searching up the parent directories from where it is run looking for a structure that matches a unity project, which is nice.
Given that I've never written any shell scripts more complex than a single line, I'm quite happy with how it turned out

Even backed up (most) dotfiles, and made a list of packages I could just copy into yay. Made it go pretty smoothly.

But guess what I forgot to back up? My goddamn #FFXIV user and system config files. Bye bye to the last six months of hotbar customization!

Ah well. I've redone my WHM hotbar to the standard i need it at for raids, and thankfully the only macro that I need is short. My poor crafting macros tho.

Almost got the ricing done too, just need to make a custom theme for sublime text cuz the theme I settled on doesn't have a sublime-theme, just a #neovim one. That's a job for later tho, this has led me to 5am, so I should at least sleep a bit.
