I've been wanting to try out #maturin for awhile now, and with some of the #LLM tinkering I've done at work, I finally had an excellent use case for it.
Its an opinionated #rust implementation of splitting #langchain documents as well as some #unstructured post processors. For cleaning and splitting, I've clocked it at between 40 and 75x faster than the python implementation, and on my machine it can clean and split 25,000 documents in a second.

I've created a rule to apply the "Unsubscribable" label to incoming emails that have the text "Unsubscribe" anywhere in them. You can just as easily delete, archive, mark as read, or send them to another folder. This will catch most of the unwanted advertising/spam, even if your email client doesn't sort them like gmail does. Thanks, GDPR!

- I overhauled my home page to give me the most useful information for me all at once
- Created a systemd service on my desktop to open Obsidian if it's closed by accident. I struggle with working memory issues and if I can't see it in my tab bar, I won't think to use it.
- A similarly dramatic step was using #tasker on my phone to reopen obsidian every time I locked the screen, so it's the first thing I see on unlock.
I've been processing and meditating on this @noboilerplate video, and was able to link to this image from reddit in my #pkm. Happy Monday friends, I hope you can summit Mount Done this week.

In #teams or the new Microsoft #loop, it won't even allow you to save the URI as a link with the "Insert Link" dialog box. So I set up a redirect host on my domain that *should* theoretically work for others as well. https://obsidian-link.coder.cam should now 307 to obsidian://advanced-uri with any query strings.

I've taken to creating these matrices in https://ruminate.io/, which has the option to export as a markdown table and then straight into #obsidian.

My #pkm system says I finished this episode of Radiolab on June 30, and here almost 4 months later its still think about it constantly. That part of the #pkm process is important. "Real Developers Ship" and all, but I just found trying to maintain a blog with any consistency daunting, and I have no interest in other modes of content creation.
I had the idea to start contributing to #Wikipedia and #wikidata, and I've found that very rewarding, and it pays dividends to my vault too. Win win 🤘
