The research effort alone boggles my mind. https://aresluna.org/the-hardest-working-font-in-manhattan/This is a good article about what’s going on with Musk and his minions and what can be done about it. I’m still flabbergasted that they are even let into buildings let alone into vital IT systems.

I’m really enjoying this series. I haven’t read the books, but the main character is a perfect role for Vince Vaughn. Highly recommended.

I bought a similar model (GL-A1300) based on that. Do you have guidance on setting it up for travel use? I've set it up as a repeater, but I'm unclear how you set up your Pi-Hole for travel. At home, I reserve an IP address for it from my Eero, but I won't have that while traveling. And I can't "hardcode" the IP since I don't know the IP range of another router. Thanks!

I'm not a network engineer, and most "beginner" information I've found mostly talks about the software configuration. I get lost on what hardware to start with for a ~1.7k sq. ft. home in MA from the 1920s (probably similar to John's home). I'm way behind on episodes, but thanks for any info!

I think it has one of the better explanations of the Netherlands and how they classify roads, which really helps understand the use cases for roundabouts.

I'm a little less pedantic about this, as apparently the USPS let the registered service mark expire on "ZIP" in the 1990s.
Thanks for reading my "well, actually" thread.

However, when writing out a mailing address, I see most people use 1 space between the state abbreviation and the ZIP code. I was taught to have 2 spaces there. Because I'm a nerd, I finally decided to confirm it, and here's what the USPS says:
I now feel 100% justified in being pedantic about using 2 spaces.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

This is not an argument that "organic" is better than "conventional" or vice versa. I do have issues with some (many?) modern food production processes, but there are pros and cons to both. Mostly just thinking about the marketing and the words used.
Also, I totally understand that sounds like something someone would say in their dorm room while getting high with their friends 😜 . I still think it's an interesting thought exercise.

I get that it's marketing spin and now corporations can slap higher prices on "organic". But imagine if we had called what's "conventional" today something like "petrochemical". Food industry might look much different.
Words matter.

According to the Smile pop-up, the company donated $400 million through the program. In 2021, revenues were $469 *billion*. Regardless if they did it for goodwill or traffic optimization, it was a minuscule amount for them but still impactful for charities. Just awful.
