We know what it will optimize with: conspiracy theories, things that make us angry, salacious celebrity scandals.

But the algorithm isn’t tied to existing conspiracy theories, it can confidently make up its own and cite fake sources as proof.

Good thing this is a novelty, a magic trick that will soon lose its luster, because otherwise this is bad.

1. Development is design. Design of how systems work. It should be managed more like “design,” with experimentation.

2. Development is politics, in the most general sense, making decisions which effect many stakeholders. This is also what business “management” is.
