Can people please please put some useful information in their bios? Realise that, due to the federation, their posting history might not be available for a prospective follower to look at.

Searching for a hashtag like #RejoinEU or #FBPE it does not find people with it in their name. But if you search for the hashtag *without* the hash character, RejoinEU, it works. I just found lots of new pro-EU people to follow.

Search is limited to finding people that your server already knows about. But this feature means it is worth putting a hashtag in your name - subject to fitting it all in the 30 character limit.

How is this going to scale up to take on millions of users without a revenue stream for instance operators to pay for their ever increasing hosting and connectivity fees? There is no subscription, no advertisers, so who pays for the infrastructure? I know some servers are crowdfunding, but will it be enough and reliable enough?
