picking up programming interview problem solving practice:

1. start a timer, start a leetcode question while sleepy
3. fall asleep for an hour and spend another 20 mins waking up
4. spend two hours on an "easy" question because I suck at these problems and haven't practiced them for over 4 years
5. solve problem, stop timer

that's how I got my world record personal best time of 3 hours 22 mins and 45 seconds on a leetcode question, no questions at this time please

oh my god I just had the dumbest game dev idea: rock paper scissors BUT with a built-in tournament system that people can join via QR code or single link

the idea is to facilitate it being streamable as a community event or even for various stakes

I am of course unreasonably excited to work on this dumb idea even if it's been done before

FINALLY finished the pokemon platinum mono water-type + no healing run. avoided grinding as much as I could, but some I definitely could've done some better team building since the only way I could beat the elite 4 was my gyrados spamming dragon dance and sweeping 😅

I do wish team-building was more accessible in the older games though, there's a lot of pain points to do so currently

I procrastinated on my year long goal to do a stream on #twitch due to excuses like "oh well I'd need an overlay first, oh I'd need a custom alert" etc. really I was just nervous! so one day I told my friends I would stream at a specific time to force a deadline on myself. it made me setup the minimum for a stream... and I streamed! a few friends showed up in chat, it ended up being a blast!

it reminded me that taking the first step is more important than being good at it
