Fellow noobs: one big difference from Twit - there is no text search on Toots (Toots=Tweets). You can do a hashtag (#) search and a profile name search (@), but not a Toot text search. I believe therefore including Hashtags in post becomes more important.

Can designate certain servers or new servers as Politics subject matter, where CW not required for politics. Then those pre-existing servers here that don't want to hear it can Block that server. So the twit migrants are herded to these 'safe for politics' zones. Thoughts from longtime Mastodon members welcomed!

My thought: it might be strange for Twitter refugees to be required to put CW on political posts as that is mostly what all posts are about (on Twitter)!! So, an important thing to get clear on re: Mastodon.

And, you're awesome I can see for all you do here. :) Very happy you got a new server going.
