TIL: CUPS kann mit einem (möglicherweise falsch kodierten) "ß" in den Properties eines IPP-Druckers nicht umgehen (und versteckt es sehr gut und zeigt die Meldung nur in einem bestimmten Flow des CUPS-Webinterfaces). Ob der 1000-Euro-Drucker oder CUPS jetzt Schuld tragen, bin ich mir nicht sicher, aber ich hatte da etwas mehr erwartet. 🙄

I do wonder which application restriction per RFC2181 section 11 Java is trying to implement here. Because most applications are fine with underscores anywhere in the domain.
