who'da thunk that usernames are also case-sensitive on a case-sensitive OS

Had to explain that the user name is wrong because it's in the incorrect case, doesn't matter if it's the same word. So when the program reads the $USER environment variable the check fails because sssd is not preserving the case.

Apparently they've experienced this issue with other *nix platforms in my company and I guess this is the first time someone told them what the problem was.
