I had been writing code for years, including using APIs, before I went to work at a corporation and heard the word “deserialization" for the first time. I thought, what an absurd over-abstraction. What's wrong with “convert”? Maybe even "translate”?

Now I use that word as if it were front-and-center on the Rosetta Stone.

My new OLED TV does improve upscaled-to-1080p anime. Better contrast. Maybe I should branch out a bit. Rings of Power S2 is coming up....

The #macOS #Sequoia window snapping/tiling behavior is pretty good for this casual user. It adjusts when the dock disappears or re-positions. It defaults to margins between windows (and allows you to turn that off). It provides a way to resize the dividers between this positioned windows. Not sure how it compares to the MS version. On that system, I keep hitting ⌘→ (Mac keyboard) and my window flies to a new position. It left a bad taste. Unfair.
