I cannot fix everything in one pull request 😅
25.4.2025 17:49I cannot fix everything in one pull request 😅#legacycodeI'm following up a bit late on this. Over the past few months I've become more accustomed to this work flow. I'd say it's better for the following reasons:
1. Improved coordination within the team - which leads to fewer conflicts
2. Better scoping of tasks - leads to smaller PRs with fewer conflicts
3. I've become more comfortable with the workflow.
The Associated Press today, "Trump disrupts global economic order even though the US is dominant." That captures the stupidity of this whole thing in one headline.

Even if the tariffs lead to reshoring, I assume factories relocated to the US will be mostly automated to reduce labor costs. So this could be the biggest jobs for robots plan the US has ever enacted.

Follow up question. Let's say you make a mistake when resolving conflicts without immediately realizing. After finishing the rebase you test your work and find a serious problem. Is there a simple way to undo a rebase? I suppose I could do a git reset?? That still seems less than ideal.

It seems cool, but the more I use this workflow, though, the less I like it.
Example: I'm on a feature branch with 3-4 commits. I need to sync with main. Rebase applies commits one at a time, so I now have to resolve conflicts 3-4 times. I'm now repeating this error-prone process multiple times instead of once.
I'm trying to keep an open mind. So, What am I missing?

To be so susceptible to misinformation, he probably had some problem to begin with. But still, the monsters who spread this type of garbage have no regard for the people they hurt.

The narrative that has unfolded on America's political right is like something out of Nineteen Eighty-Four. It's exactly the kind of doublethink Orwell described.
The same people who once tried to convince the rest of us that the rioters were left-wing provocateurs now call for a Presidential pardon.
I guess all I can say is that the situation in America is doubleplusungood.

It's the first time I've focused on this in my new career in tech. Makes me a bit sad that after 4-5 years in this field I know so little about it. Anyway, that's changing. And that's a good thing.
