I’ve looked briefly at #Treesitter queries a few times, and bailed out each time because at a glance it looks more complicated than I was motivated to push through.
Turns out they’re not very complicated. A little weird… until you realize they’re structured similarly to LISP things.
Once I grokked that, it didn’t take long to undersand the syntax. https://tree-sitter.github.io/tree-sitter/using-parsers/queries/index.html
Now I’ll see whether I want to do something with them beyond what comes stock in #neovim and the nvim-treesitter plugin.

Trying to understand the details of how digital audio compressors work (the dynamics kind, not the file size kind).
Naturally this means it's time to rethink my entire #neovim config.

Faced with a growing number of incompatible, proprietary file formats, Electronic Arts decided that the best thing to do was to make the pie much bigger for everyone.

Or maybe it does a little. I can't tell for sure. I don't get tripped up by those rolls very often.

The reason: I want to use home row mods on my Voyager. But I couldn’t teach my fingers to stop rolling from, say, S to T. With home row mods, with S doubling as Alt, that often resulted in † (Alt-T) instead of st.
But now ZSA has added Chordal Hold to their keyboard configurator. https://blog.zsa.io/chordal-hold/
This fixes the one annoying problem I've had with my otherwise lovely #ZSAVoyager.

I found AWS unfathomable. So unfathomable, in fact, that I no longer know how to log in there.
Which is why I'm looking for a cloud storage service.
I do not need or want sync. Just backup and restore. I’ll manage my backups via Arq (https://www.arqbackup.com).

So I’m finally getting around to exploring Reaper, and it seems to do everything I could possibly want. In particular, it has a very flexible metadata-based way of naming the files it makes when recording and rendering.
And it can easily render files onto a folder where DR can find them, so I think this two-app workflow will be even more straightforward than doing it all in DR.

If I'm reading the manual correctly, it may be possible to use Serum 2 as an arpeggiator. Maybe set it to emit MIDI from the arp, and turn off anything that would make a sound.
Serum 2’s arpeggiator may not have the most usable UI (being stuffed, as it is, into the UI of a synth), but I'm awfully fond of arpeggiators in general, and Cthulhu in particular. And this arpeggiator looks leaps and bounds more fun than even Cthulhu.

New oscillators: Granular, Sample. Multi-Sample, and Spectral. That Spectral oscillator looks quite interesting. Maybe I’ll spend tomorrow playing with that.
And a quick peek at Serum 2’s built-in arpeggiator has me suddenly impatient for the who-knows-when release of Cthulhu 2.

The rule is this: Replace each foreign input note with the note that has the same scale degree and the opposite quality.

I can guess that tariffs put a certain amount of pressure on foreign exporters to reduce their prices, which kinda sorta indirectly pays for some portion of the tariffs. But I don't know whether that effect is swamped by other, more direct effects, like raising prices all along the chain from importer to distributor to retailer to end customer.
