A funny thing about the EXS importer for #DecentSampler is that Apple has never actually published a spec for EXS. Everything I know about the format comes from some long abandoned Python code I found on Github. I've had to reverse engineer a lot of the details myself...

So here I am making #DecentSampler presets to be released with my next video and what do I discover? The EXS spec silently changed to allow larger chunk sizes for sample chunks which means I have to upgrade the EXS importer in Decent Sampler for the next version. 😂 #exs #sampling
