I already have RAM for her and an SSD or two.

She's upgrading from the hand-me-down I gave her built around an i5-4460, which was originally a Hackintosh build for me.

She's porting across a venerable RX580 until a sensible upgrade option becomes available.

Zen Internet have now lost me after they failed to submit an FTTP order and then lied to me about the progress of that order when I followed up.

So, my mom is now going to be with @aaisp and I will follow when my contract with Zen ends... because I'm not paying them £825 in early termination fees, despite how much I want to part ways immediately!

Waste of time. "you have 2 options. Take it to a store or mail it in. Which would you prefer?"

I'd prefer to know what costs are involved, because you're presented both options without mentioning that there is a cost for the mail-in option if I don't go ahead with a repair (which likely will be ridicuously expensive).

Note: I was not offered a "just let us recycle it for you" option.

I am on annual leave this week and next week. I've just emailed HR and my boss in an attempt to highlight this is a mental health as much as a physical health problem now. I'd been banking on these 2 weeks off to be able to have a full mental health reset, but now that's been completely ruined by being sick.

I've asked for this week to be classed as sick and for my leave to be extended by 1 week.

FML, because I'm also now at the "can't taste anything" stage. Can detect sweetness. Saltiness comes through as...

I will continue to eat my chocolate porridge though, because I'm starving, which is another symptom I remember from my first encounter with COVID.
