I didn’t expect a show about a small town in Wales and all of the characters there who care deeply for this club that doesn’t play on TV, and is playing at the bottom of the football pyramid in the UK. Even the players aren’t making much at this level and mostly playing out of passion.

https://teal.social/@DigiTJ/1097...Been slowly watching Welcome to Wrexham, and it’s one of my all-time favorite sports docs, and a big pet of that is that it’s not actually about the sport product. It spends time on the pub across the street, the woman in charge of accessibility, the guys writing songs in their garages about the club, even a guy who drives the us, and what that means to him. These people love and live for Wrexham, and combine to create an incredible community. The community around sport is captured beautifully.
