Autistic Thanksgiving

This is my first Thanksgiving being officially diagnosed autistic. I don’t expect my parents, sisters, or in-laws to extend me any compassion or understanding because of this. But I will try to give myself extra compassion and understanding.

And I will try to have compassion for my family members whether they are diagnosed, allistic or undiagnosed/unrealized autistic.

On Twitter I had around 600 followers. Not a huge number, I know. But not tiny. The thing is, I rarely had any engagement with my Tweets, from my followers. So my guess most who followed me (besides bots) were simply hoping for a follow back to boost their numbers.

I would rather have a very small number of followers who actually read my toots and care about me than a large group of followers who are...

I would rather have a very small number of followers who actually read my toots and care about me than a large group of followers who are following a huge number of people and won’t have the time to even see my toots.

Although it would be super cool to have a huge number of followers who hung on my every word… well, cool until I had severe anxiety about saying the wrong thing.
