@SDF My primary hobby is that of photography, mostly #filmphotography these days, but I do dabble in digital, particular the #foveon digital cameras, which are just janky enough for me to be interested in them. With film, I shoot primarily black and white these days, since I vastly prefer its rendition. I've been trying to get the same feel of BW in digital but I haven't quite gotten there yet. Definitely am a monochrome man. I shoot all formats, 35mm medium and 4x5 large format.

for books, I read quite a variety, right now I'm on a Cormac McCarthy binge, finishing off the Border Trilogy with Cities of the Plain. Before that, I'd been reading a good amount of Dostoevsky. I have a soft spot for speculative fiction, Kim Stanley Robinson being a favorite of mine, among many others. Philosophy, leftist theory - and of course, the Illustrated Guide to TCP/IP! But I read so much more than I can encapsulate in an introductory post #scifi #books #literature.

Well, a minor introduction. I'm rather eclectic in what I like. My main hobbies are #books, #photography and I dabble in some other things now and again. Computers of course, but I'm an IT person by day, currently on help desk but looking to branch out. I'm interested in the ideology of FOSS software. I'm definitely a leftist, and I came into that leftism through my own realization that #climatechange can only be combated through the overthrow of capitalism.
