If you don't know React, Tailwind and Typescript then you will have an uphill struggle learning the stuff built on top of them.

I think one of the things that concerns me most about our current political climate is that as more and more of the decrepit liches that shuffle around the whitehouse have their phylacteries destroyed, they are being replaced by a generation that has elevated lead levels.

I think a lot of what will happen in the next few years has to bear that in mind.

Currently looking at hiring for a grad role, and usually we see the GitHub profiles with the usual Todo apps which were clearly someone following a guide, but that is usually fine as it shows they were doing some level of self directed learning.

Now though candidates are showing up with stuff that seems really good, but it's all #AI slop, most can't even tell you what the code does.

I am loathe to start giving in person programming challenges but I fear that's what I might need to do.
