Great advice (source: twitter.com/george__mack/statu)

I only learned to value point number 2 last year. Especially as you get older, when you have more money and less time available.

I'm still on learning to properly appreciate number 1 though.

I've seen that recently and I can't stop thinking how accurately this describes my life.

"time spent" is on the x axis, "time spent / time remaining" is on the y axis.

I really liked some of the ideas in this article about evaluating character. Especially the point "How do they invest their two most valuable resources" (time and money). It made me think about whether my allocation of these is aligned with my personal values.

It is well-known that our decisions (in this case spending time and money) are primarily of emotional nature, and justified with logic only in retrospect. Our values however seem to be (at least partially) defined by logic. Which makes this exercise quite interesting - how big is the discrepancy between my emotion and logic?

Great idea by Naval how to find your personal career path: "You want to find what feels like play to you, but looks like work to others."

Both parts are equally important, explaining why "follow your passion" often isn't actionable.
