The only positive piece is that the financial implications of switching vendors is mostly gone but the inflation on the infosec budget has been profound.

Of course it will probably fall to infosec to answer for the slower and expensive processes of IT

I’d prefer to keep the pressure on the CIO to patch per policy and not make it a thing they can push back on me cost-wise
