Godot built-in script editor is not as feature-packed as other IDEs HOWEVER it has such a good built-in documentation navigator, that the need to go online find how something works drastically reduces by using it. One of it's best features for sure.

please don't leave games with uncapped FPS as default on PC games, a lot of players might not even realize it, it might even damage...

please don't leave games with uncapped FPS as default on PC games, a lot of players might not even realize it, it might even damage components. especially with no settings in-game, just had to force a game via system settings which is not ideal.

I think it could be interesting to have some sort of "sub resources" flow were we could link a property to a sub-resource within a file that contained several, like a sprite atlas with several UV regions etc

I wonder if there would be an easy way for me in Godot to pack several AtlasTexture on the same resource file and then just have a way to use them freely from FileSystem and use on Animations/Sprite2D etc. Kinda like Unity has the expandable thing from a texture atlas. I might be missing something.

Was seeing the article about Unreal 5 performance issues around, and some of the other reasons might be right, but this is an important factor, many development machines are high-end and often target high end. Leaving low-end to final stages is a problem I've seen often.
