Raises are typically 3-6%, but every few years it can be double that without a promotion. 10% bonus.

Raise was going to be 5.25%. I countered w inflation & salaries of comparable jobs (higher than avg). After lots of back & forth, ended up with a total increase of 21%! No change in duties.

I wish Dependent Care FSAs would be inflation adjusted similar to IRAs & 401k limits. And/or make that limit be per child instead of per family.

$5k does not go far for childcare in most of the country, especially if you have multiple kids.

We paid a bit over $30k last year for 2 kids, which is on the low end for our area thanks to a corporate discount through my employer.

Thinking about moving over to jawns.club server which is #philly based. Don’t see anything for my immediate area. I’m in south Jersey, 15 minutes over the Walt Whitman bridge, went to college in Philly, wife works there, & over there a lot. So think that’d get me the most local content/ people. 🤔

Make it easy for yourself, people, just run over the leaves with your lawnmower and leave the remnants as nutrients. Fraction of the time and better for your yard.
