Nicht zuletzt weil ich selbst Wissenschaftler bin, machen mir solche Dinge große Sorgen. Und es betrifft nicht nur das Thema Klimawandel. Die Wissenschaft kann heute viel mehr als früher Erkenntnisse zu gesellschaftlichen Themen beisteuern und wird deshalb für alle Ideologen immer gefährlicher.

Authors investigate future scenarios by local average annual temperatures with respect to a “standard temperature of prospering mankind”. Currently, about 10% of the world population live outside of this “bearable temperature”. If human CO2 emissions follow a “business as usual” scenario, within the next 70 year another 30-40% of humanity will fall outside of this temperature range.

* you get protected from violent actions
* you can love whoever loves you
* you don’t have to fear the hate of others
* you can develop to your full capabilities, independent of race, religion or wealth of your parents
* you don’t fear loosing your home and putting your family into poverty by illness or a stroke of fate

This is freedom, not only the right to aggregate wealth
