Crazy good day for new and archival #jazz releases. I'm very excited to check out the 1967 #ElvinJones set that just dropped. The new albums that have piqued my interest are #DezronDouglas (on the ever-reliable #InternationalAnthem) and #CharlesLloyd with #JulianLage and #ZakirHussain on #BlueNote

Several years ago I went through a #divorce and the card became a very important way to make ends meet as a newly and unexpectedly single dad. I also struggled with #loneliness and #depression and spent money I didn't have on things I didn't need.

It's impossible to overstate the sense of relief I feel right now.

An #introduction now that I'm starting to get the hang of this place:

Like many others, I'm coming over here after years of being active on that other app. It's lovely to see so many of my favorite folks sharing here as well.

I'm largely here for #music content: my biggest interests are #jazz #experimentalmusic #improvisation #MMW and #gratefuldead among others. I play #drums and contribute to projects with cool people now and then as time allows.

IRL I work in land management and have a professional interest in #nature #wilderness and #recreation though I tend to keep that stuff siloed. I previously worked as a park ranger in #Yosemite for about a decade and I'm always happy to share recommendations for visiting.

Otherwise, I want to see all the #dog pictures. No really, all of them.
