Most likely I’m not going to work on it yet (the pressure of bootstrapping and releasing is real), but I’m missing about this possibility as it would have sped up my work if I’d had it before I started.

Basically I’m working on a gem that acts as a client to a REST API. What I’m starting to see (especially by the fact that each endpoint is becoming a repetition; tests included) that I could extract this even further to allow the easy creation of a ruby rest client over http for any such API.

If you really have to say something negative, I’d rather you’d be aggressive and not try to mask is in passive aggressive discourse. Own your violence!
Better yet, take a deep breath, go for a walk (or whatever helps you to rekindle yourself) and be productive next time we talk.

It allows me to code the way I think is right and in the process extract components to open source libraries that will eventually be useful to someone!

It has been a few days, and so far, I do enjoy the experience. It feels very lightweight and manageable (there are still a few things I am not 100% convinced about, but we are getting there). Today I found a little roadblock; I was doing some mayor refactoring, and guess what... yep, I went back to Intellij to do the refactorings before continuing… 🤷🏽♂️

It’s not bothering (yet), but I’d like to see a cleaner separation. And also yes, I’m cross posting from mastodon to Twitter. But I think it’s different. Ultimately I’ll leave Twitter. While I’m still there I do read tweets, and might reply to a tweet here and there, but my main timeline is on mastodon (and I don’t want to pollute it).

9.11.2022 09:18If one partner has “the idea”, but otherwise is not really doing much for the business, should they get an equal share? There are arguments about making it a simple equation about money put in, but there are other factors (like time invested, availability (what you do for the business), etc). So it becomes really challenging to come up with a fair solution.
