Spent the afternoon exploring some meadows, then plopped down on a log in the forest. Listened to some bird songs, recorded some bird songs (gotta make that meditation track at some point). And sat there writing down some thoughts.
And still managed to check off everything on my todo list I planned.
Hope you all had a similarly fun, relaxing and productive day. Or at least one of those three😁

My misery in a nutshellI've been dealing with a lot of things for a while. It was manageable until last summer. It feels strange......

My misery in a nutshell

I've been dealing with a lot of things for a while. It was manageable until last summer.
It feels strange... Being terrorized by a coworker, people taking advantage of my willingness to help and manipulating me, house renovations.. And more didn't bring me to my knees.

But my mom's #breastcancer diagnosis sure did.
I broke down, so much physical pain, I was sick for weeks at home, unable to move even, lost weight. I found the strength to start working again with #music, while my mom recovered. It went well.
Then management took my #ADHD coping mechanism away (music). "You'll be better in 6 weeks" the company doctor said, no empathy. And it didn't happen. Got panic attacks from that. Fought and fought to get my music back, finally made an exception for me.

Now I'm getting better again. Slowly but surely. I even smile sometimes.

Tomorrow I have to meet that doctor...
I owe him nothing. I had to do it all by myself.

So what the hell do I say to him?

Screaming even

But every time I open my mouth
Nothing comes out
Not even a whisper
Like someone pressed the mute button

Even if I could
And I had everyone's attention
What would I want to share?

Something useful?
Something helpful?
Words that ease the pain
That make you stand up
And try to make a change

Something that inspires and spreads
Like a drop of dew
Falling from the branch into the pond
Its impact changing
Its volume adding
The quiet mirrored surface
Stirred to a violent sea

Maybe I'm the one who muted me
Because deep down I know
That what I have to say
Will be empty and meaningless
So why even bother?

Shut up, Mart.

Like I truly belong
In this time and place
With these feelings and emotions

I see the swallow in the sky
Playful acrobatics
Its life simple and carefree
But I have no wings
Only my mind to grant me freedom

The gate is locked but I have the key
I just need to find it again

Saw this while experimenting with color profiles on my camera (sorry about that😅 ). In my town, certain houses and streets have a protected status. As to keep the appearance of the town largely the same. If they are built before a certain date then you're not allowed to make a lot of changes to it's appearance. Now, some of these houses are very small and not up to modern standards at all so the loophole people found is to leave the streetside of the house standing and build a brand new house attached to that. The end result is a rather large and high house with a tiny front.
