Myself and David Bremner are performing a concert in solidarity with the people of Gaza.

The impulse for the recital comes from a horror at the ongoing erasure by the Israeli government of Palestine’s people and cultural heritage, and a recognition that the art-song tradition, as has always been the case, will respond to and reflect upon current events.

One of the projects I've been working on this year is an Anti-war artsong recital programme with David Bremner.

On 6th December, we are presenting it three times, including music by Palestinian composers Amin Nasser, Wissam Gibram and Donia Jarrar alongside a new cycle by Raymond Deane.

The concerts are in solidarity with the people of Gaza, and allow audience members to mark their own solidarity during the 30 minutes of music.

10) - I intended putting a sprinkle of chopped chives on but I forgot - was only an idea as I'm sick of looking at our pack of chives

5) pour all of the veg from the roasting tin into the saucepan (including all the oil and as much spices as possible) - mix well at this stage

6) add in the veg stock - bring to a simmer
7) cover and simmer for 15 minutes

2) roast at 180 degrees celsius for 30 mins - they should be well coloured and soft. Remove from the oven and leave aside in the tin. (N.B. guesstimate of the timing in the oven)

Wonderful stretch and release on Hanapilates.ie - Irish physio/pilates teacher - she has online and inperson (Taney) classes - every week adding I think two or three videos to the massive collection of videos - it's really set me up now for a day of recording and choral directing. Great to see Larissa O'Grady's concert today in the Hugh Lane Gallery - always a fantastic atmosphere - people there to enjoy whatever music they get - Larissa did a fantastic performance of all, but super to hear her play David Bremner's piece. We had a wander around town afterwards to, and got stopped by a lovely gent on Parnell St who wanted to thank David for the great music. It's always so special when audience members let you know how much they enjoy the concert!
