Sheezy . art was revived back in ~2019/2020 by a small dev team but had to be closed again in 2021.

I say this from experience, because I was helping with moderation on the site during that time.

Why we aren't back yet, the site is back in production and we aim to have the beta up for previous "revived sheezy" users on November 30th. We have a whole lot of stuff planned.

This isn't usable for the public yet, but may be good to keep an eye on ;]

Of note, there's furry alternatives as well but since I am not active in furry spaces I won't personally go into detail on those....

Characterhub is a toyhouse clone made for hosting original characters and original art.

The community feels weirdly competitive in a sort of underhanded way. The UI is also confusingly clunky and weird to navigate on mobile and desktop. I really wouldn't recommend.

Toyhouse, for that matter, is fine for personal use (archiving + tracking ocs and oc art in a gallery) but I would not use it for posting art/community interactions.

Inkblot dot art comes up a lot. I've tried to use the website a handful of times, it's broken, and nigh impossible to use.

The app is definitely better, but I find the UI clunky and the community just like....absent? It feels like a town populated with echoes. Even so, some features they have planned look really solid/promising, and the Dev team feels passionate and determined.

Artfol is most similar to instagram but with a heavy lean into digital art over influencer-dom and photography. They have a website in beta and the app has had steady progression for a while. Solid, pleasant to use imo. Mature content, however, is NOT allowed.

Bluesky is a twitter clone/alt and it works well for that. Not purely for posting art, but mature content is OK and it has some features that make it nice for that. Lots of twitter artist drifting to it.

All of these sites are mature content friendly! While Masto is more similar to twitter posting styles, Cohost and Pillowfort are both more like tumblr.

Pillowfort is in dire need of funding, Cohost is still in Beta, both have decent potential for fandom.

Though popular, these sites/apps are all very unstable right now, difficult to be discovered/seen on, and are geared best towards Fandom....if anything at all.

This thread isn't comprehensive nor is it a full look at each site. It's also biased because I'm human and have opinions!

However, I do have experiencing helping to run an art gallery site, and have been an artist posting online since like 2009. I'll do my best to try and be fair.

I by no means have a Comprehensive list, but I do have a handful of sites off the top of my head that I personally use or have seen other artists use to varying degrees of success...idk I find it very interesting to learn about my options as an artist Online

Some character dynamic shenanigans...The connections between Travis and Matteo and their messy history, contrasted with the sheer and overwhelming yearning Ellis and Matteo feel, limited and silenced by their inability to communicate...or feel like it's something either deserve.
