My final thought on this is that regardless of where you purchase my books, I would really, really, REALLY appreciate it if you could post a review on a major book site. It takes so few reviews to really boost sales and visibility of a book. I cannot overstate how much reviews matter. You don't have to write a thesis - just "I liked it!" is fine! It takes less than two minutes and means so much.

So: Buy my books where you like, and thank you for doing so! And remember to review!

But what about buying from the really big corporate book chains? Though I have personally divested as much as possible from Bezos and fully support the boycott, I will say this: More book sales on those big platforms boost the algorithm telling a huge audience of people that my books exist.

I fully support anyone boycotting, but I am not going to shame anyone for buying my book there, especially if it's the easiest way for them to get the book onto their preferred e-reader.

I am more interested in helping as many people as I can with my work. So I love it when people buy my books at indie bookstores. It not only supports local businesses, but it also encourages those businesses to keep stocking my book.

If you don't have a local indie bookstore, you can buy from bookshop.org and the proceeds will go to one.
