Picked up SUPPLY LINES OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION: SOUTHERN STRATEGY (I had the Northern predecessor and loved it), NICAEA (a tongue in cheek game on canonical religious advocacy), and AT ALL COSTS! THE GREAT WAR IN THE EAST. Sure there were a few other games I would have liked but these were must haves!

Also missing satchel charge counters for "The Trains Must Run" scenario in RED BLITZ--there should be five total. Some of the Kickstarter deliveries didn't come with all components, but this seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Am sure Flying Pig Games will get hot on getting components out to those missing them!

Am happy to see the RED BLITZ expansion but wonder whether the original STALINGRAD expansion will be redone someday. There's a lot to like about this system but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. As for me, I confess to being a WW II ground tactical wargame fanatic so I try just about everything there is available!

As a WW II Pacific naval buff, I didn't know anything else about WW II, but I got this game for Christmas in 1974 and was introduced not only to tactical ground warfare, but also to the Eastern Front. I thought it was interesting that the German pieces were platoons but the Soviet pieces were companies. That bridged me into AH's RUSSIAN CAMPAIGN to learn the strategic story!

Its predecessor SKIES OVER THE REICH helped get me through COVID-19 isolation and I'm excited to play this--looks quite different given the topic. Graphic design is very evocative; I can almost feel the contrails on the board as the RAF closes on the gaggle of German Dorniers and Heinkels! Hope I can get some plays in before the holidays; have the new OST V1.2 and RED BLITZ freshly punched and on the table now, so it might be a while!

I had been primarily a naval gamer, and the prospect of being able to do "fantasy matchups" of any dreadnought or super dreadnought battleship was just too much to resist. Played the heck out of the game until it fell apart! By then other SPI titles caught my eye and I was off to the races with a subscription to S&T!

Playtested ASL RULES and TURNING POINT: STALINGRAD.for that company and quite a few more for others since that time!
