Set up a discount for the weekend (starting Thursday evening).

Set up a...I spent about two weeks programming a component-based framework for the enemies' AI, but then I just deleted it. Why? Because it became too abstract. I decided I should rather start making the actual enemies and program them one by one. As a result, I expect each enemy type to be truly unique in their behaviour. Then, maybe, I will create a framework to remove duplicated code, but not before that.

GTA 1,2 - style 2.5D car-centered game (2D in 3D environment, creates interesting visuals). 2. Puzzle-platformer with slime as the main character.

I probably should have added a story to the game (which was relatively easy) and done more quality control. However, at that point, I just wanted to finally release the game. #IndieGameDev

23.3.2024 14:44Should I just make a 2D platformer with simple graphics while working on a larger project (which would definitely take years to finish)?...I spent several hundred USD on #Unity assets, from the time before I started using #Godot. I don't regret spending that money, since it contributed to my decision to use FOSS: once I realised those assets were tied to the engine, I decided they were more or less worthless to me.
