Played the first level of #HiFiRush this morning and really enjoyed it. I really like the game’s visuals, especially how they use the environment to highlight the beat. More importantly, the combat feels pretty good. In any other game, I would probably describe it as “basic”, but, in this game, it feels just enough to balance while trying to keep up with the rhythm. Looking forward to the rest of the game.

I’m enjoying the Abbey in #MidnightSuns more than I thought I might. I feel you can tell this is the dev’s first shot at something like it, but I find it fairly engaging.

However, I think the exploration could be signposted better. I can’t determine how to progress, and if it is due to falling to solve a puzzle, or if it is story-gated. I tend to avoid game guides, but I might try to make a spoiler-free Google to see what I’m missing…

As far as games are concerned, I tend to like single-player games that have either good story or interesting mechanics.
