Hey Fediverse, pretty soon I'm going to be part of a #Wildsea #TTRPG group. The world of Wildsea is that of rampant plant growth with people riding around on treetops with chainsaw-esque ships, and there are a number of interesting character creation options. Notably #mushroom / #lichen people.
Which is where I'd like to ask all of you #funghi lovers out there for help with inspiration. I'm looking to play some happy-go-lucky mushroom person, with a big ol' cap that flops around like an oversized sun hat. Pictures/descriptions of mushrooms that fit the description would be awesome, info dumps are also very welcome as I'm still missing some key details for the character's "spark" so to say. If you know of anything else that you would like to share, even if it doesn't necessarily fit the above (I haven't forgotten about you #mosstodon ) please feel free.

Numbers on it should be interesting, as generic damage and/or flat phys could enable some really cool new builds. Definitely on the look out for pestilent strike, and I've had a heavy strike Actum build in my back pocket waiting for the right time that is just itching for something like this. I think that #pathofexile 's chieftain rework is not nearly as disastrous as some of the doom sayers are purporting. And unless there's something particularly crazy in the support gem reveal and/or patch notes I'm gonna league start it.
Free resists and life regen through the top wing and fire mastery frees up suffix pressure considerately, making chaos res nearly trivial to acquire. Having 84-85 ele res come yellow maps. Searing bond totems that taunt for ages so sitting still isn't a death sentence.
And with the whole sitting still thing, being able to just negate fire res is insane. I know it's not ideal for pinnacle bosses, but swapping RF out for fire trap (which taunting works fantastically for btw) gets me 1m DoT damage with mediocre gear.
If the Red Nightmare works with the fire resist passive tattoo system then the efficiency will be even higher, and that's not even considering adding Formless Flame to the mix.

I'm an American immigrant living in Germany, and a Reddit immigrant posting in #Lemmy and #Mastodon. #IT generalist, mostly due to the fact that I can't settle on one thing to stick with, maybe I'll figure out what I want to be when I grow up... One day. For now I am primarily in the #cloud space, previously #webdev #appdev, #data architecture/IoT, and live event work. The hop over to federated spaces has also gotten me into #FOSS games (I dream about Beyond All Reason now, it's not particularly restful).
