I tried to set up a backup blog at https://hashnode.com . Again I was reminded why I decided to host my blog myself in the first place.

No offence, #hashnode is extremely good. But what really put me off, was actually its social feature.

It is convenient for your readers to directly follow you, but that is exactly the trap I want to avoid.

Loved the community though, so decided to stay, not as a publisher but as a reader!

[1] moved it from #netlify to #cloudfront, unlimited bandwidth ftw!
[2] redirecting to #blog sub-domain, just to set expectations right.
[3] archived old blogs and re-organized some.

Nothing radical, but feeling awesome!

Not unless today, when I discovered https://github.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry . This is surprisingly accessible, no need to set anything up. Just install it, give it a prompt and it takes care of downloading the dataset, and creating an image for you.

Only issue... on my machine it takes around 5 mins for generating a single low quality image with 15 iterations! 🥲

Need to figure out a way to improve it's performance...
