Here's the problem: in America there are two 'sides' and both sides believe THEY are the ones thinking for themselves. So how can we tell which side is thinking through issues?
Start by looking to which side supports education, and which side fights back against it. Which side undermines public schools at every opportunity. Which side opposes teaching biology, history, sociology, or literature. Which side treats the advances of science like a threat to their hegemony That's a pretty good clue.
