WIP shots for a painting I did for a wintertime art exchange.

This is Nicker Poster Paint (thicc gouache basically) on some Clairefontaine mixed media black paper. The surface of it is much more durable than the Stonehenge cold press black watercolor paper I had been using previously.

The original was sprayed with matte sealant, framed, and then mailed out 🌹

It's that time of year again when I'll be sending out dozens of hand sealed cards. I had this brass seal custom made from my own...

It's that time of year again when I'll be sending out dozens of hand sealed cards. I had this brass seal custom made from my own design a few years ago and use it on all of my personal correspondence.

The wax for each card is melted individually and pressed. It's a little ritual that means they're ready to travel to the recipient.

I was quite pleased to see little piles of my seals at a friend's house, carefully peeled from the envelope and saved. 💖

The four cats of the apocalypse. Did this for a friend for Xmas one year - unfortunately, the first two cats are no longer with them. I'm glad I was able to do them as a group, together. All 4 of them were brushed with sparkly mica powder and then laminated as bookmarks.
