found a listing for a sony MSX hitbit HB-101 in red, which in my opinion is one of the best looking looking computers made in the 80s.
the listing states
Condition: Used - “Good Condition”
Then I saw the photos.
I think they have a different opion from mine as to what constitutes "good condition"

all this just to move my music files to a new phone.
next time I'm just gonna plug the thing into a PC and copy them that way. all this cloud malarkey is just frustrating at times

try to transfer files from cloud services (google drive / onedrive / dropbox) they are in folders with files / subfolders and none of them allow direct downloads of the folder and content. you have to individually download the files and then manually rebuild the folder structure on the local device.
none of the native apps allow it. google files used to let you connect to cloud but now it just opens the relevant app.

I've managed to recover a couple of Work in progress animations but still dont have the full versions. I think I had uploaded a few to twitter, but when i killed my account I assume all copies went with it.
anyway here is a small sample from a zx spectrum loading screen 3d conversion I was making featuring jetpac and atic atac

digging out some old 3d studio animation of a few of the ultimate play the game loading screens I made during 2020 (During lockdown)
Only to find that the animations, source files, 3d models and scripts have all been deleted by accident at somepoint from my cloud storage. probably due to errant mouse click or keypress.
I have some offline backups, so might I might find it, but hopes are low.
I have a video of 3d max processing some of the animation scripts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z1NhUv5o94

Zchase is a early protype of a game idea I had. I hoped to randomly generate a cluster of buildings with food, equipment, weapons and ammo for the survivor like player to forage and gather.
But it never got much further than a wee tech demo type of thing to test out a few ideas.

another older game i made.
ZX simon.
a browser version of the old simon game, done in the style of a ZX spectrum but with a couple of sneaky modes to make it a little tricker. it will start easy enough then get harder. its a very basic game but was a decent way to practice some #gamedev ideas.

im looking for a #blog system for my personal website. preferably php that is very basic and doesnt use lot of javascript or external libraries, im trying to keep it as lightweight as possible, trying to avoid external bloated libraries that arenet needed. Ideally I should just write something but I dont feel the need to reinvent the wheel. Plus theres the time factor. I've seen a couple but just wanted other peopels recommendations to try as well.

The eventual aim of this project is to be able to let you download a PDF rulebook version of the game that can be played using a couple of packs of everyday playing cards. so anyones can just play it whereever they are.
its on http://www.terlan.co.uk with other bits n bobs from my mind and recessed of my hard drive.
I'll propbably poke at it again as time goes by

I'v pages upon pages of notes on bits and bobs of the system so far, but I'm also trying to build this as a stand alone computer game as well, and all in my spare time so progress is slow. Add to that the entire project was shelved for about 4 years as time and other issues got in the way

Adeglr's Dungeon is a Pen and Paper solo RPG game that can be played with nothing more than 2 packs of everyday playing cards, a pencil or pen and some paper. No need for dice. It will have a playstyle similar to traditional 'Choose your own adventures' with TTRPG elements.
its an unfinished prototype.
The overall aim is to develop a browser game at while the printable rules are created . To allow different ways of playing the game.
added a couple of new things to my website. 2 Procedural generators. one that generates 100 x 100 dungeons in a style of a roguelike, handy for impromptu TTRPG sessions, it even puts suggested monster locations. The other is a procedural cave generator
I was using them as leanring steps to a procedural game I was working on. I still had them in a subfolder so uploaded them because rthey were there. I might polish up the scripts and attach them as downloads if I get time.

its also available on https://terlan.itch.io/easy-as-123 in other formats: android, windows exe, #zxspectrum TAP or #amstradCPC basic CDT
It was the first game i think I ever finished it has retro sort of look to it though I think I mixed a few too many styles so it was orginally meant to look 8 bit ish, but I pushed in some neon. anyway, it was about 9 years ago so maybe i had some sort of plan then I have since forgot lol.
12.3.2025 09:45its also available on https://terlan.itch.io/easy-as-123 in other formats: android, windows exe, #zxspectrum TAP or #amstradCPC basic CDTIt...I've added an old game I made to my website, www.terlan.co.uk called "Easy as 123"
the game premise is easy, (as 123) the game asks a question and the answer is either 1, 2 or 3 you can click the onscreen buttons or press 123 keys. thats it. well theres stuff floating across the screen you can click that for lots of bonus points. (save the wee sheepie!!) the higher your score the more complicated the question can get. but you can rack up nice high scores that way.
I think im done tinkering with the screenshot convertor side of my site, there is over 103,000 assorted screenshots of games, from about 10 different #retro systems, that can be converted to a 4k image, SVG vector or a 3d #openscad model.
The current systems include
#AtariST #Commodore #C64 #sinclair #zxspectrum #amiga #msx #msx2 #AcornComputers #electron #nes #segamastersysystem
games have loading screen and ingame image to choose from.
if you visit, I hope you enjoy or get a use from it
done a little tweak to my css on http://www.terlan.co.uk toned down the bright green VDU effect so a more subdued green and added a slight glow to the text. darkened the background a lot as well. I might add some more touches, but I could just tinker with it for weeks and not get anything else done.
