For general mental-health/lack-of-spoons reasons, I'm going to largely step away from social media through the end of 2023 - and possibly beyond. I don't have a bazillion followers or anything - but I do have a few, and it just feels polite to let ppl know.

This is Worng.
MF/BT **should** mean "broke the nightly CI". "My tests are glaring red". "My PR reviewers are diffidently pointing out that 'this approach is, um, totally...borked?"
It *should* mean you're ok with looking like an idiot to your peers, so you can get More Eyes to help produce **better* results for those Users out there.
Don't break your End-Users.

I *should* be a "double all the way" kind of guy, since I spent my pre-Python time doing Java - but python still looks...more pythony, to me, using single quotes.
Brains are weird.

The first paying gig I had for software involved porting a FORTRAN-IV program to FORTRAN-77 on a PDP-11/40. There were Mastodons then too, but mostly we rode them to work.
